Practice your startup process for the Robinson R66 turbine helicopter to avoid hot starts effectively. The simulation includes the complete panel along with animated controls such as cyclic, collective, pedals, and rotor brake. Correctly operating all switches in the right sequence is essential for a successful engine start.

You have the option to encounter random failures or choose specific scenarios like:

 <li>Hot Start: Practice the correct actions to abort the start appropriately.</li>
 <li>Starter Sluggish: Manage low battery voltage and make informed decisions.</li>
 <li>MGT Too High: Handle high residual temperature challenges.</li>
 <li>Oil Pressure Failure</li>
</ul>

Additionally, there's a 'No Error Mode' that allows you to explore all buttons and checks without any repercussions. Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) can utilize this mode to create tailored training scenarios for their students.

The training commences with the 'Starting Engine and Run-Up' checklist (e.g., turning on battery and strobe switches) and concludes with N1 stabilizing at 65% to 67%.

You can unlock an in-app purchase that allows you to start checks with the 'Before Starting Engine' checklist.
